This big day includes the ascent of Alpe d'Huez, a firm favourite of many to observe, and for some to attempt themselves. This showcase Tour stage is a repeat of the 1986 route.
Consisting of two major climbs, the Col de la Croix de Fer (29km, 5.2%) and, of course, Alpe d'Huez (13.8 km, 8.1%). Push hard!
